Compost Cab was founded in 2010 to help build healthier, more sustainable, more productive cities.

Since then, our pioneering community composting service has diverted more than 8 million pounds of food scraps from landfills, enabled thousands of households and businesses to protect the planet, and helped inspire 300+ entrepreneurs to bring similar efforts to their communities. We design municipal-scale organics recycling programs that work, provide strategic sustainability services to organizations large and small, and partner widely with not-for-profits to support a healthier, more just, more sustainable community. We are proudly family-owned & operated, and based in the nation’s capital.
